– context
Mease, the press relations manager for Paléo 🎶
Each year, the Paléo Festival in Nyon welcomes over 250,000 visitors and several hundred journalists from around the world. Media management requires rigorous organization to handle all requests for interviews, audio and video recordings, and photo permissions.
In order to optimize this complex process, Paléo commissioned backtik for the complete redesign of the Mease application, whose mission is to centralize and streamline interactions between the festival's press teams and the hundreds of journalists, photographers and media technicians.

– goals
Backstage in transition:
the challenges of the Mease redesign
In a complex environment like that of the Paléo Festival, a precise understanding of the challenges related to using the Mease platform was essential. These challenges, detailed below, formed the basis of our strategic and technical thinking.
Technical legacy
Modernizing an existing application with outdated technologies was a major challenge. Our expertise enabled us to update the application with modern technologies without disrupting existing business processes.
Workflow complexity
Designing an intuitive interface capable of efficiently managing multiple approval processes, involving both external and internal stakeholders, was a real challenge. The user experience (UX) was designed to ensure clear and functional navigation.
Scalable solution
Mease needed to be easily adaptable to other festivals, but also to manage multiple editions and their history. The challenge was to design a flexible and modular architecture, ready to easily adapt to the specific needs of other events and festivals.
The solution of backtik
Based on a thorough understanding of the business and technical challenges, we have implemented a complete and flexible solution capable of simplifying the management of media flows for the Paléo Festival.
Mease is based on a methodical approach that incorporates clearly defined user journeys, addressing each previously identified challenge. This allows us to offer media professionals and festival administrators an optimal user experience.
